The Wizard of Oz Collection (UK Edition) Review

Anyone in a fairy country like the Land of Oz can do anything" Believing that the modern fairy tale no longer required 'a fearsome moral' rendered by 'horrible and blood-curdling incidents', L. Frank Baum (1856-1919) decided to create a world in which 'the wonderment and joy are retained and the heartaches and nightmares are left out'. Since the early successes of the Oz series during the author's lifetime, and with the production of numerous stage, film, television and literary adaptations in the years since his death, Baum's magical fairyland of Oz - devised 'solely to please children of today' - has continually delighted and influenced the imaginations of millions across the world for over a century. Journey through the magical world of Oz with Dorothy and friends in this 15 book collection by L. Frank Baum, redesigned and anglicised. These beloved children's classics will make the perfect gift; timeless and loved by all. This collection includes the following books: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Marvellous Land of Oz, Ozma of Oz, Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz, The Road to Oz, The Emerald City of Oz, The Patchwork Girl of Oz, Tik Tok of Oz, The Scarecrow of Oz, Rinkitink in Oz, The Lost Princess of Oz, The Tin Woodman of Oz, The Magic of Oz Glinda of Oz, The Royal Book of Oz.

I admit I had never read any of the Oz books when I was a child but I did see Wizard of Oz movie often while I was growing up.Now as an adult I am more fascinated with the stories and since I had never read any of the books I was so happy to receive this box set to review.

I absolutely love the covers of all these book are absolutely wonderful and colourful.  Here are photos I took of the covers .

See?  The covers are nice and colourful.

I have read all of these in the past few weeks and I just love them.  They are very well done and fantastically done.  I am so happy I read these because I really love them. This is a fantastic collection to add to a child's book shelves.
