The Hollow Crown (Kingfountain #4) by Jeff Wheeler *Review*

* I received a eARC of this book for my honest review*

Following the downfall of a tyrant in the Wall Street Journal bestselling Kingfountain trilogy, years have passed in prosperity for the kingdom of Ceredigion. Now, as the time comes to celebrate the new king’s nuptials, the specter of a new enemy emerges to destroy all that has been painstakingly built in those years.
Tryneowy Kiskaddon has grown up learning military and diplomatic strategy from her father, one of the king’s closest advisors. She feels her destiny lies in defending the kingdom as a knight, not as a Wizr as her parents have decided, though no lady of the realm has taken up the sword in a century. As she seeks to understand her own Fountain-blessed powers, she studies in the tradition of her mother while training in secret and closely following the realm’s politics, alarmed by her mother’s vision of an impending clash and a devastating future.
But the pieces on fate’s game board are in motion, and on the eve of battle, a threatening force irrevocably changes the future of the kingdom and her own. Does Trynne have what it takes to maneuver Ceredigion’s key players into position and outsmart the kingdom’s enemies—even those still concealed in shadow?

The Hollow Crown is book four in the Kingfountain series.  I read the first book (The Queen's Poisoner) last year and I loved it so I bought the next 2 books later on in the year when I saw they were on sale and of course when I saw The Hollow Crown on Netgalley I just had to request it.

I have been loving this series so far. It is well written and if you aren't one who usually read Fantasy or want to start reading fantasy this is the perfect book series to start with.

This book is very well written and it did get me hooked from the very beginning. I ended up staying up late reading this book.

I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out.

I do recommend you read the previous books first because it would be too confusing not to.

I am giving this 4 out of 5.

The Hollow Crown is now available online and in bookstores near you.

Damage Control (Dirty Money #2) by Lisa Renee Jones *Review*

*I received a ecopy of this book for my honest review*

Wall Street meets the Sons of Anarchy in Damage Control, the smoldering, scorching next novel in the explosively sexy Dirty Money series.

The only thing more dangerous than a dark secret is a damaged heart…

Shane Brandon has been pushed to the brink, torn between his corrupt family and his explosive, all-consuming desire for Emily Stevens, who he now knows is not who, and what, she seems. Has he trusted the wrong person? Will she, not his brother Derek, be the ultimate destruction of his family Empire?

Emily tries to run from Shane, but he will stop her, confront her, force her to reveal all — one hot touch and kiss at a time, under every intimate detail of who this woman is, and what she wants, is exposed. But as he tears away the dangers of the unknowns with the woman in his bed, and in his heart, The Martina Cartel has set their sights on his company, his family, and the one piece of leverage they believe he won’t gamble with: Emily.

If you have been following my blog for a while you probably know that I am a big fan of Lisa Renee Jones and I  have read a lot of her books do of course I just had to read this book.

Damage Control is book two in the Dirty Money series and you do have to read the first book in the series to fully understand what is going on with the main characters.

I absolutely loved this romantic, sexy and suspenseful books.  Just like all of the other books by Lisa Renee Jones that I have read so far, I just couldn't (and didn't want to) put down.

I highly recommend this book.

I give this book 5 out of 5.

Montana Heat: Protected by Love: A Novella by Jennifer Ryan *Review*

*I received a eARC of this book for my honest review*

It was more than another blind date . . .

It was DEA Agent Caden Cooke’s third chance to impress beautiful chef Mia Martin. He’d already stood her up twice, and was shocked she was even giving him another chance. For Caden, taking down the bad guys is important, but Mia’s made it clear there’s no excuse for his bad behaviour. So he’s vowed to make it worth her while with an apology he’s cooked up just for her.

From the moment they meet, it’s clear this isn’t just another fix up. The sparks flying between them are undeniable; the tension is electric. Then, suddenly, the best moments of their lives turn treacherous when a drug dealer set on revenge puts their lives in danger. And Mia and Caden quickly realise they will do anything to protect the other—and live for the love neither of them expected.

Jennifer Ryan is a new to me author but after reading the description of this novella I decided to request it and read it right away.

I loved the story and I know I will be reading the next book that comes out.  I love that the story is fast paced and it has humour, suspense, and romance.

I give this 5 out of 5.

You can purchase this novella on amazon.
